Dual Diagnosis Counselor-Social Work-Clev Hts

Location: Cleveland Heights Health Center

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8-4:30p

S ummary:

Provides mental health and chemical dependency evaluations and treatments for patients in an assigned area, including inpatient psychiatric units, the Emergency Department, and child or adult outpatient clinics. Performs diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy treatment, group therapy/counseling sessions, and crisis intervention services. Contributes to preparations for mental health and substance use care programs. Collaborates with Psychiatrists and other colleagues as needed.

Qualifications:
Qualifications: Required: Master's degree in Counseling or other Behavioral Health-related field of study from an accredited institution Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). 2 years of post-master’s experience working with patients as a Clinical Counselor or Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDC) Experience managing a caseload of patients. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision (LPCC-S). Experience with Psychiatric evaluations and dispositions. Experience with therapeutic interventions and treatment planning. Experience working with Trauma patients. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
