The Outreach Services Supervisor plays a pivotal role in coordinating system-wide programming initiatives to develop, conduct, and implement a diverse range of youth, adult, and intergenerational programs.

This involves both outreach efforts and in-house programming support across the entire library system and Clermont County.

The Supervisor provides direct supervision to the System Programmers, overseeing activities such as the Hands Up! Puppet Troupe and Dreamweavers Storytelling Troupe.

Proactivity and responsiveness to the programming needs of the community are key aspects of this role. The Supervisor provides essential support in coordinating collection delivery services, ensuring that materials are tailored to the needs and interests of target audiences.

The Supervisor operates under the broad direction of the Manager, collaborating closely to enhance community engagement and promote the Library's services and resources effectively.

Qualifications :

• Relevant experience or bachelor's degree in Library Science, Education, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in library programming, outreach, or community engagement.
• A broad range of experience developing and executing high-quality programs for all age groups.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with a minimum of two to three years of experience. These qualities include, strong communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and provide clear guidance to team members, ability to foster a positive work culture and drive the mission, values, and strategic vision of the library, the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and rebound from setbacks and challenges, and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and human relationship skills required.
• Experience using computers with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and statistics required.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends and special events.
• Familiarity with library systems and technologies preferred

Rate : Minimum $23.00 per hour

Pay Grade 7, Exempt

Full-time (40 hrs / wk)
