ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining company business intelligence solutions. By transforming data into actionable insights, you will play a key role in driving informed decision-making processes across the organization and improving business performance. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data warehouses and data pipelines to facilitate efficient data integration, storage, and retrieval.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Develop and implement BI reports, dashboards, and visualization tools to present complex data in a comprehensible and actionable manner.
  • Optimize and maintain existing BI systems to improve performance and functionality, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
  • Develop insightful reporting solutions based on a deep understanding of business processes and maintain a robust metadata repository for effective data discovery.
  • Educate and support teams throughout the organization in fully leveraging data resources, ensuring high data quality and security standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest BI technologies and trends, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance BI capabilities.
  • Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing data and analytics solutions.
  • Technology:
    • Microsoft Products – Office Suite, including SharePoint and Teams
    • SQL – MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle
    • BI Tools – Power BI, NetSuite Data Warehouse (Oracle Analytics Cloud)
    • Data Modeling – Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Normalization Techniques
    • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
    • Python
    • JSON
    • Proven experience with NetSuite, Quickbase, APIs, Version Control, and/or Azure technologies.
  • Skills/Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and situations to make decisions.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated success in managing relationships with a number of different kinds of stakeholders.
    • High-degree of self-motivation with the ability to effectively solve problems with little direction.
