POSTION SUMMARY:

To provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. Must be able to communicate with all residents, staff, and visitors.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in Food Services.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Must be able to assist in all areas of the Dietary Department.

DUTIES OF POSITION:

Customer Service

Quality of Work

  • Uses integrity, good judgment and problem solving skills in making decisions.
  • Produces high quality documentation as evidence by the following:
    • Sets up trays and food service carts accurately and timely.
    • Provide food service to residents, guests, and employees under sanitary conditions.
    • Serve and bus trays.
    • Assist in preparing, covering and labeling food.
    • Clean work area.
    • Assist in the proper care, use and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
    • Work as a dishwasher, using the equipment appropriately and in a safe manner according all state and federal regulations.
    • Attend in-service training programs for Food Service employees.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Takes steps necessary to produce excellent work in any task or job that is assigned.
  • (For Direct Resident Care Areas) – Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor and sensory adaptation, cognitive and psychosocial appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned area. (see attached Age Specific Performance Appraisal Addendum)
  • (For In-Direct Resident Care Support Areas) – Provides support activities appropriate to ages served. (see attached Age Specific Performance Appraisal Addendum)
