Cleco Support Group LLC seeks a Data Scientist to research and implement cutting-edge techniques and tools in machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence. Integrate current systems and analytical techniques to enhance operations and improve efficiency. Identify areas for process automation to reduce routine manual tasks. Develop models, algorithms, and scripts to preprocess data sets and perform analysis. Develop solutions to enhance the decision-making process, workflow, and business and information needs by translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements. Develop business insights and reports on results of data analysis using data visualization. Leverage data warehouses to identify trends and patterns. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Risk Analysis or a related quantitative field, and 1 year of experience with SAP and other financial systems. Experience must include the following: experience with Python, R, R Studio, SAS, Excel, and Minitab; experience with SQL, MySQL, MS Access, and TOAD Data Point; experience with statistical and data mining techniques, generalized linear model (GLM), random forest, boosting, trees, hierarchical clustering, deep learning, and convolutional neural network (CNN); and experience with Tableau and PowerBI. Telecommuting for this position on a full-time or part-time basis may be permitted.
