What you will do:As an intern at Clearwater Paper, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on value-adding projects and gain a general knowledge of the environmental side of manufacturing. Interns will work under the supervision of our Department Managers to develop, implement, and maintain our systems to meet business objectives and goals.

• Partner with Clearwater Paper engineers to learn the paper making process from creation to distribution.
• Identify areas of improvement through strategic projects
• Collaborate with others including cross-functional leaders and team members.
• Projects including but not limited to: data analysis, data management, drinking water and wastewater systems, air quality modeling, regulatory reporting for air, water, or hazardous waste, environmental laboratory work, field surveys, risk assessments, chemical inventories, and sustainability.

What you will need:To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates with the following:

• High attention to detail with strong organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, leadership experience, and self-motivation
• Majoring in environmental or physical sciences, engineering, or chemistry.
• Sophomore and up level for class credit level.
