Clearwater Dentistry is hiring for a rock star candidate that possesses both dental assisting and front desk experience! This position requires certification in an approved dental assisting program and a minimum of 3 years of experience. This hybrid position will act in the capacity of supporting our team throughout the week!

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: Show off your assisting skills in the back from 9:45am to 7:00pm. This will includes assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (radiographs, procedures, impressions, lab scripts etc.)

Tuesday and Thursday: Round out your skills up front by helping our patients check in and out and prepare treatment plans from 7:45am to 5:00pm. Performingas a dental receptionist to schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients’ dental appointments as required. They perform all administrative duties necessary to ensure that a dental practice is running smoothly.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience working in a dental office.
• 3 years of experience as a general dental assistant is REQUIRED.
• Sound knowledge of dental terminology.
• Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
• Exceptional telephone etiquette.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Well-organized and reliable
• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• EFDA is a plus
• Previous experience in dental office is required
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a dental assistant is required
• Spanish speaking is preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Prolonged periods of sitting.
• Prolonged periods of viewing computer screens.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour
