ClearDATA is looking to hire a world-class Internal IT Auditor, reporting to the Senior Manager, Compliance, Privacy and Security, as a member of the CISO’s team of experts.

Your key responsibilities 

ClearDATA is a HITRUST-Certified organization. This certification carries responsibilities for annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily activities (our Audit Universe). The IT Auditor will help the ClearDATA team support Audit Universe functions, and cross-functionally reinforce established standards

• Coordinate efficient and effective IT audit procedures, and ensure ClearDATA policies, processes, and standard operating procedures adhere to documented requirements.
• Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, validate compliance levels, determine risk exposure, and develop remediation strategies.
• Perform regular audit testing and provide recommendations based on gap and risk analysis perspectives.
• Identify network and system vulnerabilities and create counteractive strategies to protect ClearDATA systems.
• Serve a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures to protect the organization’s data, systems, and networks.
• Communicate complex technical issues in simplified terms to the relevant stakeholders, including preparing relevant reporting and presentations.
• Participate in the change management process.
• Demonstrate a strong acumen of business and system processes.

Skills and Attributes for Success 

To qualify for the role, you must have 

• A clear understanding of IT audit methodologies.
• An understanding of healthcare operations and industry mandated by the HIPAA (e.g., Security, Privacy, Breach Notification Rules).
• Demonstratable working knowledge of IT governance, information security and assurance, and data protection principles.
• Two years of work experience as an IT Auditor and/or a degree in information technology/computer information systems.
• Professional certifications focused on IT auditing methodologies (e.g., CISA).
• General proficiency with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

What Will Make You Stand Out: 

• Previous experience with HITRUST Common Security Framework (CSF) control requirements and assessment protocols.
• Previous experience conducting or undergoing SOC 2 Type II audits.
• In-depth familiarity with security policies based on industry standards and best practices.
• Excellent awareness of the healthcare risk landscape, regulatory mandates, and cybersecurity trends.
• Experience working in enterprise security operations or a DevSecOps environment.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Healthcare technology or SaaS experience.
• Additional certifications related to core business functions (e.g., CCSFP, CISSP).
• AWS or Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Certifications.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
