We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team, responsible for creating clear and concise technical documentation for a wide range of military systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, with the ability to simplify complex information into user-friendly documents that meet the needs of diverse audiences, including military personnel and defense contractors. Responsibilities: Develop, write, and edit technical and operational documentation, including user manuals, test procedures, and system specifications.
Work closely with engineers, subject matter experts, and field staff to gather the necessary technical content.
Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and conforms to standards.
Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.
Create graphical representations of systems and components to enhance document clarity.
Participate in product and system testing to gain a better understanding of what needs to be documented.
Maintain a library of technical terminology and documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a military or defense setting.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and understandable text and diagrams.
Proficient with technical writing tools and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and XML-based authoring tools.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with military standards and specifications is highly desirable.
