Job Description
Title : Metal Fabricator
Location: Syracuse
Pay : $21-25/hour
Role Responsibilities
- Work from prints/sketches/templates where quantities, types of material, dimensions etc are specified
- Plan, layout, and scribe straight and radius lines, center lines for holes, locations of notches etc
- Set-up and operate rolls, brakes, punching and notching machines, drill presses, CNC turret punches etc
- Remove, re-set and align forming and punching dies
- Operate overhead crane, towmotor and other material handling equipment
- Keep work area in neat and orderly condition
- Wipe down and maintain clean appearance of equipment in fabricating area
- Meeting quality and quantity production standards
Preferred Candidate Experience/Background
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 months of related experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple written instruction
- Basic algebra and geometry skills
- Supervisory skills & reasoning ability
