Patient Care Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in/out patients - Pretest patients prior to seeing the doctor
- Schedule patient appointments
- Answer phone calls
- Collect and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Assist with insurance verification
- Educate patients on their insurance coverage and vision benefits
- Coordinate referrals to specialists, as needed
- Accurately post charges for exam fees, co-pays, and products sold
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Train patients on proper contact lens use and care
- Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office.
Experience & Skills
We are happy to train individuals who are looking for a start in the healthcare field. Experience is a benefit but not as important as customer service skills, determination, attitude and aptitude.
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills are extremely important
Team player with good interpersonal and listening skills
Passion for self-improvement and continuing education

Requirements:
