Clear Creek Communications is Hiring a Premise Technician Near Oregon, OR

Clear Creek Communication is seeking a Premise Technician to join our team. As one of our highly skilled Premise Technician’s you will be responsible for ensuring continuity of Company state of the art services and equipment for users by providing technical expertise. This position is responsible for installing all services and equipment currently offered by the Company at the customer premises as well as repairing and maintaining Clear Creek’s facilities, systems and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least one year related experience in the telecommunications industry and/or equivalent cable technician experience.
  • Familiar with splicing and cut cable repairs.
  • Ability to work; on-call rotation, flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
  • Excellent customer service and the ability to patiently, verbally guide members through a series of steps, to achieve resolution.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee is required to carry, climb and operate an extension ladder.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
  • Valid State of Oregon Driver’s license. Clear Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles driving record.
  • State of Oregon Electrical Contractors Licensing Board Low Voltage Certificate preferred but not required.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepares, properly grounds, bonds, connects and terminates service drops.
  • Identifies appropriate cable pairs in pedestals and DLC sites, installs and properly terminates drop wire, cable pairs and jumper wires.
  • Provides customer training as required on all installation and maintenance visits.
  • Verifies signal levels and transmission quality from the main distribution line throughout the home distribution system.
  • Replaces malfunctioning or inoperative equipment, such as cable connectors, outlets, splitters, modems, and other associated equipment.
  • Responsible for placement of aerial or buried facilities as required.
  • Utilizes test equipment provided to locate buried facilities or identify problems in buried facilities.
  • Splices and activates new plant as required.
  • Installs required subscriber carrier terminals and other telecommunication ancillary equipment as specified in engineering specifications.
  • Maintains knowledge of Company products and services and of general office procedures.
  • Performs other job duties and responsibilities a required to fulfill job functions or as assigned.
