We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team and ensure our guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service.

Job Description: As a Host at Zest Sushi and Small Plates, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and managing reservations and seating. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth flow of service and maintaining an organized front-of-house environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Reception:
• Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins, ensuring efficient and accurate seating.
• Provide guests with menus and inform them of any specials or promotions.
• Seating Management:
• Coordinate with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to manage table availability and wait times.
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortably seated.
• Monitor dining room activity to anticipate and address guest needs.
• Customer Service:
• Answer phone calls and handle inquiries or reservations.
• Assist guests with any special requests or accommodations.
• Resolve any guest issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Front-of-House Organization:
• Maintain a clean and organized host station and entrance area.
• Ensure menus, promotional materials, and guest supplies are well-stocked and presentable.
• Assist with light cleaning duties, such as tidying up the dining area and restocking supplies.
• Team Collaboration:
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist servers and other staff during busy periods as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Knowledge and Promotion:
• Stay informed about the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Promote daily specials, events, and promotions to guests.
• Provide information about the restaurant and its offerings to enhance the guest experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a host or in a customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Familiarity with reservation and seating management systems is a plus.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
