We are currently hiring Cleaning Technicians for locations across New York. No commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is necessary but is a plus. Cleaning Technicians clean and inspect various jobs sites within an area. They keep buildings in clean and orderly condition and perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, dusting surfaces, and removing garbage. They work with administrative staff and other technicians while representing Clean MD in a positive manner. This is not a supervisory position. Technicians may train employees, inspect accounts, and complete project work. Part of their responsibility is to communicate with staff at all levels to ensure operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

As a cleaning technician you will be responsible for the following:

  • Travel to assigned cleaning accounts on time and prepared.

Clean each site according to account cleaning schedule including but not limited to:

  • Clean floors, windows, etc.
  • Empty trash and recyclables
  • Dust surfaces
  • Restock supplies and equipment
  • Work independently on site unless another Clean MD employee is assigned.
  • Obtain and maintain account keys, cleaning supplies, and equipment needed to clean each site.
  • Communicate with technicians and administrative staff.
  • Represent Clean MD positively in various settings inside and outside the organization.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities May Include

  • Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work.
  • Use training, instructional methods, and procedures appropriate for the situation when training employees.
  • Provide coverage and support for employees when necessary.
  • Conduct inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Obtain and see to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
  • Identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Utilize technology to communicate, complete, and track work.
  • Effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Complete project work as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Organizational skills and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Recognition of importance of confidentiality regarding company and client information
  • Must be willing to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is not required. We will provide the training you need to succeed!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $29,000.00 - $34,000.00 per year
