Apprentice and Managing Arborist Positions are available as follows (full time is desired, part time is possible):

1- Arborist Apprentice is a person who enjoys working with their hands outside (in all kinds of weather) and likes the daily challenge of completing ever-changing tree-care jobs. They must be mechanically-inclined, able to work effectively with rope, knots, rigging equipment, saws, tractors, trucks, trailers, chippers, man-lifts and all manner of tools and equipment for doing safe tree work. They must know, or be committed to learning the trees and landscape plants of our area and their care. Climbing skill is helpful but not a deal-breaker. Skill in repair and maintenance of the equipment is a huge plus. Candidate must be dedicated to doing the job safely and show willingness to contribute to periodic safety of operations training and updates provided by the company. The right candidate also demonstrates good personal communication skills and habits, which are critical to keeping a Five-star company reputation and make for a positive work environment for everyone. ISA training and/or certification and knowledge of ANSI standards for tree care are also a plus.

Compensation typically ranges $15-$22/hour, 401K, paid holidays, paid training.

2- Managing Arborist is a person who has excelled at the Arborist Apprentice level (see above), with our company or another, who has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to transfer this skill into the work of doing estimates for projects, supervising staff and helping to complete projects and following proper safety procedures. This includes having two or more years of experience as a tree care worker and climber. Candidate is able to easily identify area plants and trees, communicate to customers tree risks and care needs and accurately estimate safe and effective work plans and work estimates.

Compensation $25-$35/hour, 401K, paid holidays, paid training.
