Become a valuable member of our Operations Team by taking on the role of Molder operator. You will manage equipment operations, update documentation, and maintain preventive maintenance records. We seek an individual with a desire to learn more about the molding mfg process, strong organizational abilities, and excellent time management skills. By working closely with our process engineers, you will be able to make a significant impact on our operations.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently running molders. Duties include handling lumber materials, feeding and/or receiving lumber through the machine, setting up molders to accurately run given details, cleaning woodworking machinery for safe operation, checking product/material and filling out forms for quality control while running the molder, and keeping assigned work area clean for safe operation.

The job requires working closely with different types of woodworking machinery as well, so employees must obey strict safety procedures. In addition, as with any position inside a manufacturing organization, any machine operator (no matter the specific machine they typically run) is expected to help contribute to/execute any means to safely improve production efficiencies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE

1)Safely & efficiently executing given production tasks on molders

2)Carefully examine machined material for Quality Control, fill out OC forms for each given work order
3)Feeding material through planer/moulders/ripsaws
4)Wrapping or banding finished product per order specs
5)Monitoring and visually inspecting the condition of various machinery for safe operation
6)Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
7) Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
8) Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
9)Assisting other departments as needed

Physical Requirements:

-Must be able to lift, move, and handle up to 50 pounds frequently to stack and load finished products for delivery.

-Ability to stand/ walk for an extended period

-Ability to bend, squat, reach, pull, lift, and climb.

Safety Requirements:
-Required to wear steel-toe shoes
-Required to wear eye protection
-Required to wear hearing protection
-Required to wear safety gloves

-Trained on proper lifting techniques. When lifting over 50 pounds it is required to use the buddy system.

-Must be able to pass physical and drug Test

Pay: $19.93 - $24.00 per hour
