Claybourne is Hiring an I.P.M - Specialist Near Perris, CA
The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Specialist provides support to the cultivation team. Primary duties include developing and implementing an approved pest management program, pest and disease identification, supervising preparation and application of pest control products, leading the IPM team, and ensuring all Claybourne approved cultivation workflows are followed, and maintaining regulatory and compliance records. This individual will manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment. We are looking for someone willing to work hard, learn, communicate and get along with the rest of the team. We will train you!!!!!Essential Functions:
Must be willing to spray
Performs other duties as assigned.
Will collaborate with agronomist on daily/weekly/monthly objectives
Required or Preferred Skills, Abilities, Licensures and Certifications:
2 years of horticultural experience in a commercial cannabis facility a plus
Certified pesticide applicator is a plus…should be able to certify in CA within 4-6 months of employment.
Experience in the fundamentals of plant biology is a plus
Extensive knowledge of pest and disease identification
Experience with cultivation and IPM systems and the implementation of those systems
Experience in the management and implementation of standardized horticulture processes
Experience with the handling and application of pesticides, Bio-pesticides and be familiar with predatory control methods.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
Demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels within an organization, particularly senior management.
High ethical standards.
Must be 21 yrs old
Must pass all required background screening
Starting wage $20 per hour based on experience, will be eligible for total benefits package (medical, dental, vision,) 1st of month after 30 days of employment.
Work Schedule:40 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
