- NON Title One Schools
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Title One Schools ONLY:
- High School diploma or equivalent and
- ONE of the following:
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution OR
iii. Passing score (464) on the Praxis Paraprofessional test
- ESE Behavior Health Assistants must complete the following training within 6 months of employment. All training is provided by the District
- Safe Crisis Management (SCM)
- First Aid
- CPR
- Medication Administration as required by Federal Medicaid regulations
- ESE General Health Assistants must complete the following training within 6 months of employment. All training is provided by the District
- First Aid
- CPR
- Medication Administration as required by Federal Medicaid regulations.
- NOTE: General Health Assistants must be able to lift 35 pounds.
- If transportation of students is a routine part of the assigned duties: must have a valid Florida Driver's License and a safe driving record prior to employment; must maintain the same while employed. The definition of "safe driving record" shall be as established in the District's Safe Driver Plan.
