Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare is Hiring a LMP Support Specialist Near Astoria, OR

This position qualifies for a hire on bonus of $1000 with 1/2 paid with 1st check after hire and 1/2 paid with 1st check following 6-month probationary period.

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare has moved most positions to a 4 day 9 hour work week with paid 30 minute lunches to promote a better work life balance. Wages have also been increased for our valued current and future employees.

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a full time Licensed Medical Professional (LMP) Support Specialist The primary purpose of this position is to work closely with Licensed Medical Professional staff to ensure medication refills, prior authorizations and lab orders/results are processed in a timely manner. Respond to all client inquiries regarding medication refills.

Essential Duties/Major Responsibilities

  • Verify medication is refilled in timely manner as requested by client.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding medication refills
  • Obtain prior authorization for non-covered medications.
  • Notify LMPs when client is requesting schedule II mediations.
  • Identify clients that need to be closed and send closing to appropriate person to finish the closing
  • Call in medication orders.
  • Scheduling of Appointment for LMPs Ensuring labs are ordered and results entered into Electronic Medical Record. Maintain Clozapine registry.
  • Help clients with Rx Assistance forms
  • Access OR Rx monitoring program to verify last fill date & dosage of client prescriptions
  • Measure client vital signs prior to LMP appointments
  • Administer long acting injectable psychiatric medication as ordered by LMP’s
  • Provide coverage for MAT Care Coordinator as needed
  • Provide medication administraion for CSS/ACT clients as needed
  • All CBH Staff are Mandatory Abuse Reporters per the State of Oregon, as such all staff must be aware of and follow Mandatory Abuse Reporting Policies
  • Coordinate with onsite pharmacy staff (Genoa)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate degree or above in Nursing, Medication Technician, or related program
  • Must be required to meet the minimum requirement of the State Medication Technician Certification if applicable
  • Skilled at working as a member of an interdisciplinary team and completing required documentation.
  • Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Full professional fluency in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and ability to multitask from anywhere in the service region.
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and importance of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Articulate well, speak precisely, and think and write clearly.

  • Skilled at remaining calm in stressful situation and de-escalating potential aggression from clients.  Skilled at leading and facilitating groups.
  • Skilled at conducting training in groups.
  • Knowledge of Clatsop Behavioral Health billing process, the Electronic Health Records, and basic intake process.
  • Ability to learn and adopt the policies and procedures of the agency.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout community and work at off-site locations including homes, schools, non-profit partner agencies, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

For full time employees, benefits include Medical (minimal premium cost for employee only coverage), Dental (Employer Paid), Vision (Employer Paid), Retirement, Life Insurance (Employer Paid) and Short-term Disability (Employer Paid). Dependents covered on medical, dental, and vision at cost to employee. CBH offers 40 paid hours of paid time for elective training per year in addition to mandatory trainings assigned by supervisors. CBH also offers relocation assistance and supervision towards licensure. Employees are eligible for elective training reimbursement of ($1000/yr for unlicensed clinicians and $1500/yr for licensed clinicians.)

12 paid holidays and 6.77 hours PTO accumulated per pay period for years 1-3 with increases after year 3. PTO accumulation starts at hire and is available for use as accumulated. CBH also offers sabbatical of 176 hours after 10 years of service.
