Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic vision for the Email Team. Utilizing insights and customer data, lead the development and optimization of lifecycle communications for all customer segments, increasing customer retention. Create compelling narratives using data and insights.
  • Own email marketing team strategy, goal setting & performance. The email marketing program is a key driver of business success, and in this role, you will create, track too, and own performance of the program.
  • Continuously improve the program capabilities & development/deployment process . Manage and optimize email campaigns, continuously assessing performance, making data-driven improvements, and driving the growth and enhancements of our cutting-edge email delivery system. Working closely with Engineering leads to drive a product roadmap that is consistent with our strategic vision and goals.
  • Own and manage our email deliverability, following best practices, staying on top of new technology and trends, and consistently testing new ways to resurrect and engage users.
  • Manage team of email marketers. Mentor a team of talented email marketers. Cultivate a data driven, test & learn approach as you drive for high performance.
  • Work with leadership across the company , representing Email in roadmap planning, performance tracking, & in cross functional teams to ensure a seamless & consistent customer experience across all touch points.
  • Be the expert on Customer behavior and business drivers , ideate new initiatives to improve key metrics, and build the case within the business to support the goal.
  • Own email marketing strategy and regular reporting to Sr. Leadership on progress and upcoming projects to drive engagement, upsell and retention metrics.
  • Evaluate the end-to-end customer journey to identify opportunities to improve our effectiveness and collaboration across customer retention (data, personalization, marketing automation and product experience)
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics for lifecycle programs , rapidly iterating and scaling successful initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 10 years of experience leading lifecycle, email, or engagement marketing.
  • Experience leading successful marketing teams and working collaboratively across multiple departments to deliver results.
  • Strong understanding of all key marketing areas, including customer acquisition, product, A/B testing and analytics.
  • Track record of developing and executing successful retention, engagement, and re-engagement strategies, including measuring, and delivering on business KPIs.
  • Extensive experience in email deliverability, balancing trying new ideas with reputation management.
  • Experience gathering and using customer insights and data to drive communication strategy via tools like Google Analytics, MicroStrategy, etc.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Have a bias for action.
  • Bonus Skills: HTML / CSS for email, SQL, graphic design, copywriting, and project management experience.

Education/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or similar education/experience

Salary Range:

Min: $141,900
Mid: $166,300
Max: $183,500

The pay range reflects the salary amount the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position. It is not a guarantee of actual compensation or a specific payment amount to any candidate. The actual compensation will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, a particular candidate’s experience and qualifications.
