The St. Louis warehouse will pick all the orders for the St. Louis/Springfield area between
Monday and Friday of that current week. All orders are picked and loaded into separate bays
depending upon where they are being delivered (St.Louis,Columbia and Springfield.). . On
delivery day, the STL warehouse manager and drivers will check all orders for accuracy before they go out for delivery. The drivers will then load their boxes into the appropriate vehicle. The driver will then start their route and perform the basic functions of the job listed below. This

Basic functions include:
● Transport Packages to and from destinations
● Arrive at destination on schedule
● Have invoices signed and return signed copy
● Deliver all end-of-day documentation to the operations department
● Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups
● Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays
● Use navigation applications to determine the best route
● Interact with clients professionally at all times
● Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
● Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
Lift boxes and product that are consistently 40 pounds or more
● Help put away pallets of new merchandise as they arrive daily/weekly
● Pick orders before and after the delivery process for the current or next day
● Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
KC Quote Process for Drivers:
Once a week, the Saint Louis warehouse manager and drivers will pick the KC quote. The purpose of this is to ensure the Kansas City warehouse can fulfill and deliver their orders on a timely basis.
The quote will consist of at least 4 pallets and could be much more.. This process will include picking all boxes accurately and safely. Once the boxes are picked, the boxes will then be loaded onto pallets securely and safely. Once they are loaded onto the pallets, they will be wrapped tightly awaiting pick up for the Kansas City warehouse.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma/GED, Driver license
EXPERIENCE:
Three years of experience in a driver role with at least 1 years in the wines and spirits
industry (Preferred)
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Detailed knowledge of driving and distribution work. The ability to communicate with
and understand the specialized needs of customer’s orders. The ability to communicate
with the Operations Manager, and to understand and interpret commercial documents.
PHYSICAL:
Body Positions: Sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching and stooping.
Body Movements: Turning head and torso, bending and flexing arms, wrists, and fingers,
use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms and lift or move 50 lbs.
Body senses: Must be able to see and hear, have full power of speech as well as
communicate on the phone with customers and associates. Must be able to see to read
correspondence and related material and reports and have specific vision. This including
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability
to adjust focus.
MENTAL:
Language: Must be fluent in English and able to read and prepare reports, generate
computer reports, and communicate effectively with peers, customers, and outside
associates.
Mathematics: Must be able to calculate gross profits and margins. Complete routine
arithmetic computations well enough to check invoices, orders, and track trends. Review
and calculate pricing, and compensation plans.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The driver works outdoors, and must be able to effectively communicate with customers,
receiving personnel, and the operations manager.
