61st Street Service Corp is Hiring a Certified Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist #Full Time Near White Plains, NY

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist. In this role, you will be responsible for both administrative tasks and providing support to our medical staff. You will primarily be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and greeting patients. Additionally, you will assist with medical assistant duties such as taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, and updating patient records. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, phlebotomy/stool collection and EKG services
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent customer service
  • Handle patient inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, invitations to patient portal and direct calls to the appropriate staff member
  • Verify insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees -
  • Maintain patient records and update necessary information accurately and confidentially
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Hob Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program required
  • CMA certification required
  • Proven experience working in a medical office or similar healthcare setting
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish) a plus
Hourly Rate Ranges: $20.00 - $29.81
Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
