Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Preparation Worker to join our team. As a Food Preparation Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting with meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our dietary department. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of meals according to established recipes and portion sizes
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient meal service
- Help with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes
- Operate kitchen equipment, such as knives, slicers, mixers, and ovens, safely and efficiently
- Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and notify supervisor when items need to be replenished
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment

Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food preparation methods is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
