Altura is actively seeking an experienced Client Manager with 5 years of client management, business development, and program management skills to help expand Altura’s climate change-related impacts across multiple sectors. Qualified candidates should have relevant experience in the sustainability advisory, greenhouse gas emission reporting, decarbonization, energy efficiency, building engineering, green building, facilities management, renewable energy and/or other related fields. The preferred location for this position is in Altura’s Newport Beach or Oakland, CA offices; however, other remote locations will be considered. Scope & Responsibilities: Lead multiple portfolio-level client engagements within the automotive, healthcare, higher education, federal, and/or other market sectors. Grow and diversify Altura’s Environmental Programs offerings with new and existing clients through outstanding business development and client/project management deliveries. Expand our positive impacts by collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to innovate our service offerings. Required Qualifications: 5 years of client/project management experience in the sustainability advisory, greenhouse gas emission reporting, decarbonization, energy efficiency, building engineering, green building, facilities management, renewable energy and/or other related fields. Experience implementing decarbonization strategies for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission sources. Experience with project manager responsibilities including target setting, budgeting, and long-term project execution. Experience in client management including serving as primary contact for external client communications. Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of empathy. Ability to thrive in a teamwork-driven environment. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field. Desired Qualifications: Experience in the healthcare, higher education, federal, automotive, real estate and/or other market sectors Key Attributes of Successful Candidate: We anticipate a candidate will be successful in this role if they have strengths in the following areas: Technically Competent: Knowledge of enterprise-level decarbonization strategies Consensus Driver: Ability to facilitate teamwork-based solutions and manage conflict resolution with internal and external stakeholders. Business Development: Has cultivated a professional network and has experience with proposal development and client interviews. Cultural Ambassador: Identifies with Altura’s mission and values and models the firm’s culture to internal and client teams. Thought Leadership: Desire to contribute participate in industry publications and events (e.g. speaking engagements, conferences, trade journals, blogs). Location: Newport Beach (Preferred), or a hybrid or remote (within the U.S.) candidate would be considered. Base salaries will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations. For this role the annual base salary range is $145,000 - $175,000.
