JOB SUMMARY:
This position reports to Marketing and Business Development leadership and collaborates with all members of the Marketing and Business Development department. This position focuses on firmwide event request intake, calendaring, planning, coordination, execution, and measurement in consultation with Clark Hill’s business unit and office leadership. Depending on location, the role may also liaise with a subset of regional offices as their contact person for team services. This role requires a focus on strategic value by assessing - through benchmarking, outcomes measurement, and ROI - the appropriate level of investment for key marketing initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with planning and executing firm events, webinars and other client facing opportunities, including advising on strategic value of the event, logistics management, invitation creation and distribution, RSVP tracking, coordination of pre-event workshops with Business Development Managers, onsite facilitation, and post-event reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain and execute an annual calendar of events / sponsorships, working with the Marketing and Business Development team to proactively and strategically identify industry, regional market, and business unit opportunities for attorney engagement with clients and prospects.
  • Post, maintain, and update event listings on the firm’s website.
  • Serve as central intake for firmwide event requests, balancing resource and timing needs against master calendar and client/prospect interest.
  • Work with team to develop library of event types and associated planning documents to drive proactive planning, brand alignment, and attorney engagement.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Business Development team any in-person staffing needs for events, leveraging the team’s broad geographic distribution.
  • Track all event planning information and outcomes in Marketing and Business Development project tracking system.
  • Collaborate regularly with Business Unit and other firm leaders to track activities against budgets, benchmark progress, and measure ROI for identified Business Unit.
  • Work directly with our Business Development Managers on identifying and executing strategic marketing initiatives to help grow client relationships and enhance market share and revenue.
  • Mine attendee data to help track ROI, client leads, event updates, contact info updates, and conduct analysis to further support the overall firm strategic growth and improve future event offerings.
  • Update firm website content as needed related to events and assigned offices.
  • Build and maintain a working relationship with attorneys across offices where support is needed.
  • As needed, facilitate form completion and approval process of sponsorships. Assess the strategic value of potential events and sponsorships in light of business development goals and priorities. Partner with Business Development Managers pre- and post-event to identify and effectuate client and industry growth targets/plans. Maintain historical data on marketing activities to inform and focus annual budget review process.
  • As needed, help coordinate new attorney onboarding process, including photography, announcements, briefing on Marketing and Business Development offerings, and related materials.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or related field.
  • Three years of marketing or similar experience, preferably in legal or other professional services environment.
  • Strong technology skills, and a high-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, some work with a CRM system (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team orientation and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience with content creation, working with sponsors, and event coordination (preferred).
  • Organized, detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills, and ability to work on multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • “Can-do” attitude with willingness to learn.
  • Periodic travel and flexibility will be required.
The salary range at the time of posting is $70,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, Clark Hill offers employees the ability to participate in health insurance with optional HSA/FSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401K, vacation, sick time, parking/public transportation allowance, and an employee assistance program.
