We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Worker Intern to join our team in Illinois. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a graduate student pursuing a degree in social work to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. The Social Worker Intern will work under the supervision of licensed social workers to deliver essential services to individuals and families, focusing on enhancing well-being, supporting educational goals, and addressing social and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with assessments and intake interviews to gather information and determine client needs.
• Provide direct support under supervision in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans and intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to support student success and link clients to needed services.
• Assist in case management duties, including maintaining records and monitoring client progress.
• Participate in professional development sessions and supervision meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in social work practice.
• Engage in community outreach and education initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Eligible for internship as part of academic curriculum requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Basic understanding of social work principles, ethics, and standards.
• Demonstrated commitment to helping others and passion for social work.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
