At CL Construction LLC, a Millwright General Superintendent (MW-GS) is responsible for oversite and guidance of multiple millwright projects at various locations. The MW-GS visits job sites frequently and provides guidance to onsite superintendents in areas such as labor hour estimation and project coordination. In addition, the MW-GS shares best practices between teams to assist in standardizing processes and increasing efficiency and accuracy across the millwright division. A successful MW-GS is able to quickly identify technical issues and offers support in teaching others to do the same.
Millwright General Superintendents will also provide administrative support to the team by reviewing employee timecards daily, ensuring accurate hours are logged and job cost allocation is correct. Invoicing customers, scheduling labor and jobs, as well as coordinating special job needs (such as client specific training, or certified payroll hours, etc.) is also required.
Success in this role requires proficiency in communication, customer service, training, problem resolution, conflict management, multitasking, detail orientation and organization. By proactively managing projects, anticipating the needs of the crew, client, and company, the MW-GS will consistently close projects on or ahead of schedule and budget. Regular and reliable attendance, the ability to travel out-of-town if/when required and a high level of personal accountability are essential to success.
Experience and Knowledge
* Minimum 7 years of industry knowledge with 3 years in a supervisory level strongly desired
* Working knowledge and experience with standard industry equipment, tools, and tasks required
* Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, ordering materials necessary
* Strong knowledge in job-site safety including harnesses and other life-saving devices required
* Experience estimating millwright projects, budgeting and scheduling labor, procuring materials, coordinating equipment needs and deliveries strongly preferred
* Valid driver's license and safe driving record necessary
Skills and Abilities
* Must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal right to work in the United States
* Proficient with technology, able to use MS Office products, willing and able to learn and efficiently utilize programs specific to scheduling, budgets, timekeeping and job costing
* Excellent time management, leadership, delegation skills, communication, and detail oriented
* Desire to foster professional growth and development among the millwright division
* Ability to understand complex processes, proactively address concerns, and manage multiple moving pieces while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
* Ability to effectively engage in conflict resolution, confrontation, deliver corrective action and address behaviors and/or attitudes negatively impacting the team required
* Ability to read prints related to millwright projects which may include concrete
Pay based on experience and qualifications. Desired range $70,000 - $80,000. Relocation available for qualified candidates.
