C.J. Hughes is currently seeking EXPERIENCED Gas Pipeline Construction Foreman. In this position, the successful candidate must be able to perform and lead others in all aspects of the jobs required on a pipeline construction crew. Crews may consist of 3-8 people, or more. This position also requires working in extreme weather conditions that can include a substantial amount of intense physical labor. The successful candidate for this position is subject to overnight stays and working overtime, as required, as well as subject to passing all training/testing that must be maintained post hire.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fusing Experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of documented gas pipeline construction operator/foreman experience
• Proficient and productive in operating heavy power-driven equipment, including dozers, excavators, graders, compactors, telehandlers and other pieces of heavy equipment.
• History of leadership responsibility in foreman type roles
• Working knowledge of pipeline construction and maintenance techniques.
• Working knowledge of earthmoving and compaction techniques.
• Working knowledge of grades and blueprints.
• Must pass and maintain all required certifications, operator qualifications, and tests
• Must be able to work independently and as a crew member
• Knowledge of underground utilities and locator markings
• Skill to operate equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities
• Ability to think clearly no matter the stress or difficulty of your circumstances Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
• Ability and commitment to working safely
• Must possess a valid driver's license with acceptable MVR, as well as dependable transportation
• Must pass all pre-employment qualifications, drug screening and provide 2 forms of I.D. required for I-9 certification
• Must be able to work out of town and work overtime as required, even overnight
• Must be at least 18 years old
• EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED

• Working knowledge of grades and blueprints.
• Pre and Post Hire - Must pass and maintain all required certifications, operator qualifications, and/or any other required tests
