CJ CAFE NO 1 is Hiring a Kitchen Steward Near QUEENS, NY
CJ Cafe in Queens, NY is looking for one kitchen steward to join our 4 person strong team. We are located on 96 21 Rockaway Boulevard. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning the stoves, ovens, grills, and refrigerators
- Washing pots, pans, dishes, utensils and grease traps.
- Assist with cooking tasks
- Prepare food for the chef including cutting and preparing meat, vegetables and pasta
- Cleans walls and ceiling tiles, mops and sweeps kitchen and service areas and removes trash daily
- Receive and organize groceries/inventory
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential
- Full time flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
- Previous cooking experience highly preferred
- Prior experience working with cleaning equipment and large kitchen equipment preferred
