Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Employer Partnerships Coordinator at Civic Works will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with diverse employer and industry partners. The role involves proactive outreach, strategy development, and organizing events to connect employers with Civic
Works. You will skillfully match program participants with suitable employment opportunities, cultivate relationships with existing employers, and ensure the smooth functioning of the partnerships. This position requires effective communication, strategic thinking, and a commitment to enhancing the program's impact in the community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Establishing Employer Partnerships

a. Identify and initiate new relationships with employers and industry stakeholders.

b. Develop and implement strategies to promote Civic Works’ Workforce Development Program to potential employer partners.

c. Coordinate and manage career fairs, actively recruiting participating employers and handling event logistics.

d. Arrange and conduct meetings and site visits to foster engagement with Civic Works.

2. Maintain Existing Employer Relationships

a. Match program participants with employment opportunities that align with their skills and career goals.

b. Cultivate and maintain relationships with employers offering family-sustaining careers that align with Civic Works graduates' skills and experiences

c. Ensure the strong retention of employers as ongoing program partners.

d. Regularly engage with employer partners through various channels to seek continuous feedback.

e. Schedule and conduct regular meetings with existing employer partners, both offsite and virtually.

f. Advocate for program participants, mediating and resolving disagreements with the employers.

g. Meticulously document all participant and employer interactions in the Salesforce database.

3. Facilitate Optimal Placements

a. Provide comprehensive placement services to program graduates.

b. Support employer partners in investing in and promoting equity across their practices.

c. Facilitate clear communication between employers and graduates, ensuring expectations are clear and feedback loops are strengthened.

4. Develop a Strategic Job Placement Plan

a. Develop and implement a job placement and retention strategic plan that targets various construction industry sectors.

b. Maintain accurate records of employer engagement activities and outcomes.

c. Gather valuable feedback from employer partners through annual meetings, surveys, and regular interactions, using insights to adjust and enhance the strategic job placement plan.

d. Initiate and manage the development of an employer advisory board, fostering collaborative efforts to strengthen the program's responsiveness to employer needs.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates in staff and team meetings.

Maintains updated labor market data and information.

Creates and submits updated reports to the Business Services Manager

Performs other related duties as needed

Qualifications


EXPERIENCE

Experience working in and creating diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments.

Experience in workforce development, recruitment, sales/account management, or related fields with similar performance-based goals.

Strong computer and note-taking skills required. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and cloud-based databases required.

Graduation from Civic Works is a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Adept at networking and cultivating lasting relationships with employers, helping them understand how Civic Works can help them achieve their business goals.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.

Excellent verbal communication skills, interpersonal relations skills, and writing skills.

Resilient in the face of challenges; able to recognize problems, develop innovative solutions and implement them.

Able to take into account various perspectives, and bridge gaps between employers and graduates.

Ability to adhere to a strict guideline of keeping and maintaining confidential information.

Reliable personal transportation for use meeting employers offsite.
