Job Summary:The Planning and Development Services Department is seeking a creative, highly motivated, collaborative, and analytical individual to fill the role of Operations Analyst. In this position, you will play a key role in conducting a variety of operational studies to drive efficiency and effectiveness within our department. 

An example of key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct organizational and operational studies and analyses
  • Research and analyze various operations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of department goals and policies
  • Maintain and update information maps, including GIS data sets
  • Evaluate current systems and practices and make recommendations for improvement
  • Perform research on special projects and develop recommendation reports
  • Provide staff assistance to department management

Qualifications:Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban planning, business administration, public administration, or a related field. Training or coursework in geographic information systems, specifically Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, is preferred.

Two years of increasingly responsible experience in public administration, urban planning, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently in the absence of supervision are a must for this position. The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in cross-discipline teams.
