City Union is Hiring a Firefighter Near Union, SC

The City of Union currently has a vacancy for the position of Firefighter in the Public Safety Department. Under general supervision, performs specialized firefighting work which involves driving fire pumpers and ladder trucks and operating firefighting apparatus. Engages directly in fire prevention and firefighting activities to protect and safeguard lives and property. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of firefighting activities. Performs other related duties as required. Applicants must be of good moral character, responsible, dependable and must be 18 years of age. Some pre-employment testing required. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess or be able to obtain certification from SC Fire Academy. Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
