Restaurants and culture abound in the city, with suburbs and rural areas within a 10-25 minute drive from the practice.

About Us: At City Pets Animal Care, our motto is"Where Cutting Edge Medicine Meets Compassionate Care"

We place our employees at the center of our values. Without happy staff, we can't provide great service for our patients and clients. We do not retain clients who violate our code of conduct - any form of abuse toward staff, pets or other clients results in termination from our practice. We expect all staff members to be professional and respectful to our clients, AND we expect the same level of respect from our clients. We have a ZERO tolerance policy for any/all forms of abuse to our staff. We also enforce our cancellation policy and take scheduling deposits up-front. We want to retain the BEST clients, and we know that not all clients are for us. We do not want to be everything to everyone. We want to be the BEST providers to the BEST clients! Check out our Google Reviews for an idea of what that looks like.

OUR MISSION

Our mission at City Pets is to combine cutting edge medicine and technology with a comforting environment and happy employees in order to provide a convenient, revolutionized experience to pets and their people.

OUR WHY

Why do we do things differently? Because we know what it's like to love a pet as your family member. Because we are leaders in the veterinary field, and we are excited to grow, adapt and evolve with the world. Because our employees are truly terrific, they love their jobs and they enjoy making people and their pets feel safe, understood and happy. Because we, too, want to work and grow in a positive environment where we can laugh with our clients about silly stories or cry with our clients when they lose a beloved pet. Because we understand that time is money, and convenience is valuable to our clients. Because we want to be environmentally conscious, socially responsible, economically and creatively free in an industry that is controlled by large corporate practices. Because we truly want to make a difference in our community and the lives we impact every day.

OUR HOW

How do we accomplish our mission? We recognize that our employees are the life-blood of the practice. Without them, we could not serve pets. Our employees come first, which includes paying a living wage, listening to their creative ideas on how to improve, providing continuing education so they can keep their skills relevant, providing job growth opportunities and treating them like family. The equation is simple: happy employees make happy pets and happy clients.

We rely on top quality equipment and cutting edge techniques to deliver the highest standard of care possible. We do this by investing in advanced diagnostic equipment such as our digital dental x-ray unit, ultrasound, CryoProbe and a full body DR digital x-ray machine. Our medical care is founded on appropriate diagnostic tools and tests to uncover the real cause of illness, not only to cure it, but to possibly prevent such illnesses from returning. We offer vaccine titers to avoid over-vaccinating, alternative medicine such as Acupuncture and Chiropractics, as well as hospice care and occasional house calls for established clients. Medical competency is an important foundation of our practice.

We know that healing is impacted by more than just medicine. Our practice is a low-stress, fear-free environment. You won't see bright, crazy colors on the walls or hear loud music playing in the reception area. We provide a comfortable environment by promoting peaceful and low-stress visits. We provide safe sedation for any pet who is fearful, anxious or aggressive to alleviate psychological stress to the patients and their parents. Adapting to our patients' needs is an important step in keeping them happy. We have comforting exam rooms with calming pheromone diffusers, cozy blankets and lots of treats for your pet. We use comprehensive pain control on all surgeries and patients with painful conditions helping to eliminate the fear resulting from associating a veterinary hospital with a painful experience. Your pet's comfort is a priority.

Lastly, we realize that life has more of a purpose than just working. We strive to be environmentally friendly by promoting the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" initiative to prevent waste and lessen our impact on the environment. We proudly serve the community by working with Crossroads Campus Rescue - both the animals and the young people in the program. We give back by donating our time to local animal rescues. We believe that a business can do well by doing good meaning that profit and charity go hand in hand.

Our Facility: Our practice offers digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, Full in-house lab equipment, tono-pen, Ultrasound, Midmark pro-1000 dental w/high-speed handpieces, Non-invasive Ear Thermometers, iDog and iCat music in exam rooms, Feliaway/Adaptil diffusers and sprays in each room, Class 4 Companion Cold Laser, Electrocautery with smoke suction, Abdominal Surgery suction unit, Heated Electric Lift Surgery Table, End-tidal CO2 monitors, pulse oximetry, Cardell and NIBP monitors.
