The person in this position will lead a crew in the maintenance of various landscaping projects, park enhancements, Rights-of-Ways, alleys, lots, and various City properties. This is accomplished by mowing, weed eating, edging, pruning, removing trash, training new personnel, cross training on safety operations, interacting with management, City departments and the public, overseeing all equipment issued to crew, and completing daily reports. Other duties may include performing preventative maintenance on all equipment, assisting with setups for special city events, cleaning up after natural disasters and supporting other departments as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position primarily works outdoors in all seasonal conditions.
