This is entry level seasonal public contact work responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies at City swimming pools.THIS IS A LIMITED PART-TIME POSITIONThe day and hours for this position: varies 2024 Important DatesThe interview process is scheduled to begin in early March 2024. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assist guests with checking in and purchasing daily pool passes.Recognize and respond effectively in emergenciesEnforce all City of Wichita Parks pools policies and proceduresParticipate in regular in-service trainingAssist in cleaning the facility and related areas and maintenance and operation of pool equipmentThese examples are not intended to be all-inclusive. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Must be at least 16 years oldHave a current American Red Cross CPR-PR and First Aid or equivalent certifications; Applicants without the required certifications must be certified no later than 06/03/2024 Applicants must satisfactorily demonstrate required skills including CPR-PR and first aid.Previous cash handling experience is preferred. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of a criminal record check.
