Under supervision from the Fleet Supervisor, determines and communicates the needed repairs for fleet vehicles and equipment to maintain maximum equipment life and minimal downtime. Coordinates, prioritizes, and schedules fleet repairs and informs customers of the progress of the work. Monitors the parts inventory and performs multiple different preventative maintenance programs and minor repairs along with billing and work order processing.

Works under general supervision of Fleet and Facilities Supervisor.
Typical Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. Class A Commercial Drivers’ License preferred to be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above specified education and experience requirements.
Work Environment
60% of work in an office environment and 40% in fleet shop. Continuous outdoor and indoor activity, frequent sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting upper body, climbing, exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, mechanical hazards, fume/odor hazards, toxic waste/material hazards, occasional kneeling, crawling, carrying up to 100 pounds, lifting up to 100 pounds. Outside construction and machinery activities performed under normal field operations. Exposed to seasonal temperatures while operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment. Possibility of exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals, materials and inclement weather while in the field.
