Traffic Engineer Flyer
The City of Topeka is seeking qualified candidates for a Traffic Engineer position.
The Traffic Engineer performs professional civil engineering work that involves managing safe and efficient traffic flow movement in the City of Topeka as well as general traffic planning, designs traffic control devices, directs traffic studies, evaluates the effectiveness of traffic control measures, and works with other local governmental agencies to coordinate traffic management.
Primary duties include:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or related field. Must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Kansas. If the license is from another state, must obtain a Kansas license within 6 months of hire date. Must have five years of engineering experience after obtaining the PE license with at least three years of engineering experience in traffic operations including planning, design, construction and operations and experience in project manager and supervisory functions.
Entry annual salary: $100,000 - $130,000, DOQ
