The City of Topekas Community Engagement Division is seeking a qualified candidate for a Community Engagement Coordinator. The role of this position is to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, organize events, and develop strategies to enhance community involvement and participation.
This position plays a pivotal role in fostering connections, building relationships, and driving impactful initiatives within our community. The Community Engagement Coordinator will provide general support to Neighborhood Organizations and assist with DREAMS Program Project coordination.
What youll do:
Provide clerical support to the Community Engagement Division.
Manage Purchases
Review and update newsletters and other mailings.
Monitor and track projects
Communicate with Neighborhood leadership, City departments, and other necessary entities.
The ideal candidate:
Has excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively.
Is highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Has the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelors degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field is preferred. A minimum of six months of experience in program administration of federally-funded programs is required. Must possess and maintain a valid KS drivers license and city-insurable driving record.
Entry Rate of Pay: $23.07 - $27.68 per hour, DOQ
