Summary Evaluates, installs, maintains, and repairs heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems at City facilities using a safe, documented, and responsive approach. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms HVAC maintenance tasks per assigned work orders by evaluating and ordering parts up to authorized amount Meets with contractors as necessary and makes repairs Responds to emergency issues within 1 hour Assists in the development and performance of a HVAC preventative maintenance plan and HVAC replacement plan Documents work progress/time in the City’s work order system Assists with non-HVAC projects within the Facility Maintenance department Performs on-call services (24/7) on a rotating basis with other Facility Maintenance staff Maintains clean work areas, storage areas, and assigned vehicle Provides prompt and courteous service to all internal customers and vendors Operates City vehicles, equipment, and tools in a safe manner Follow all safety policies and other miscellaneous duties Performs other duties as assigned Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent Five (5) years’ experience as licensed HVAC Technician Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsHVAC License Valid Driver’s License
