City of Tacoma is Hiring a Knowledge Management Administrator Near Tacoma, WA

Responsibilities Include:
Knowledge Management (KM):
  • Lead the systematic management of T&D knowledge assets for the purpose of creating value and meeting tactical & strategic business requirements; including knowledge Management (KM) strategies, initiatives, processes, and systems that sustain and enhance the storage, assessment, sharing, creation, and retention of knowledge assets.
  • Develop KM processes and practices that create a strong tie to organizational goals and strategy.
SharePoint Administrator: 
  • Serve as T&D SharePoint Administrator: Identify and Track continuous business process improvement opportunities for T&D. Receiving and reviewing additional opportunities or ideas from the business users.
  • Design and create knowledge life cycle process to include creation of SharePoint sites, pages to support business needs in alignment with initiative and strategy. 
  • Serve as T&D lead for the implementation and management of records management business practices.
Records Management:
Serve as T&D lead for records management implementation and best practices.Minimum Education*
Bachelor's degree public or business administration or directly related fieldMinimum Experience*
1 year of experience as a SharePoint Administrator*Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education 
Desirable Experience:
3-4 years of experience with business process analyses/engineering, data and meta-data management and reporting. Solid understanding of Project Management principles and planning

  • Effectively communicates - Ability to communicate and partner with all levels of the organization.
  • Determine documentation needs, identify, and research data sources.
  • Design and create SharePoint sites, pages, views to support business needs.
  • Knowledge of records management best practices.
