JOB
Perform skilled manual labor included in the care and maintenance of City of Sweetwater Parks, Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant and other landscape areas. Operate tools, machinery and vehicles in safe and efficient manner.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Manually pick up and empty trash in assigned areasClean and disinfect public restroomsMow grass and weeds and operate power mower and weed eaterPrune trees and shrubs using hand and power toolsRepair and paint fences, playground equipment, restrooms and picnic tablesRepair water leaks that occur in City Parks or City CemeteryClean ditches and culvertsOperate rotary tiller, jack hammer, sod cutter, edger, weed eater, welder, cutting torch, chain saw, blade, plow, shovel, rake, hoe, sharp shooter, yo-yo, wrench, hammer, drill, circular saw, router, tractor-shredder and riding mowerInform supervisor each day of any operating conditions of all equipment assigned, accidents, and conditions preventing completion of assigned dutiesPerform all other duties assigned by supervisorsCommunicate with supervisors and other crew members via radio
