This is technical work requiring the application of electrical and electronic theory in the installation, maintenance, and repair of signalized traffic control equipment. This includes signalized intersection traffic control controllers, relays, signalized intersection traffic control cabinets, signalized intersection traffic control monitors, vehicle detectors, and other traffic control devices. This work involves using test equipment (multimeter, loop tester), troubleshooting signalized traffic control equipment, routine signalized traffic control equipment maintenance, investigating reports and repairing malfunctions of signalized traffic control equipment. The work includes maintaining the inventory of parts and materials, maintaining records on the service, test, and repair of signalized traffic control equipment and performing other duties as assigned.
Salary: $21.59 - $38.79 Hourly

**The starting salary and selection into Traffic Signal Technician, at level I, level II, or level III, will depend upon qualifications and experience. The entry level pay for the Traffic Signal Technician II is $25.35 hourly; and Traffic Signal Technician III is $26.56 hourly.
