This is professional, technical and analytical work in the City’s Water Resources Department, involving the research, analysis and design of moderately complex Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other highly technical software. Work involves the creation, management and analysis of spatial data with Esri software. Work also includes administrating GIS systems; writing code in one or more programming languages to deliver customized web-based mapping and in response to user requests for program modifications; and training staff in the use of complex automated interactive graphics systems. Work requires maintaining knowledge of current technical and industry trends; and the exercise of initiative and judgment based upon technical expertise.
Salary: $54,186 - $99,115 DOQ**
