This is skilled work in the City’s Stormwater, Pavement, and Traffic Operations Department, operating heavy-duty motor vehicle type equipment, of moderate operational complexity, used in street maintenance activities. An employee in this class will work rotating shifts that include daytime and overnight hours.

Salary: $20.25 - $28.91 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:

• Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.

• Possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class “B” Commercial Driver License with “N” endorsement.

• Be able toperform strenuous manual labor, sometime under unfavorable weather conditions.

• Be able to work assigned shifts which include rotation of daytime and overnight hours.

• Be able to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.

• Acknowledge this position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC) and if hired into the position, you must be immediately available to the department before, during, and after a declared emergency and/or disaster.

Desirable Qualifications.Preferred Applicants:

• Have at least six (6) months of experience in the operation of heavy equipment.
