The City of Sioux Falls Health Department is seeking a part-time phlebotomist/medical assistant to work in the Falls Community Health Clinic laboratories. Duties include: phlebotomy/specimen collection, inventory control, lab test performance, cleaning and sterilization procedures, data input, organizing, cleaning and assisting clinic staff with other tasks.
This is an interim positions, meaning a non-civil service 40 hours per week position with no benefits except access to the City of Sioux Falls’ health insurance program.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified applicants will have completed a medical assistant program and/or have one (1) year of experience in a medical office environment working with medical records, reception, and patient scheduling; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority. Phlebotomy education and training is preferred but not required.
Positions at the Public Health Department are subject to the CMS Covid-19 vaccination requirements.
