City of Sioux Falls is Hiring an Application Specialist Near Sioux Falls, SD

HIRING RANGE DOQ: $2678.40 - $2,957.60 bi-weekly

JOB SUMMARY  

Troubleshoot issues, bugs and implement fixes for applications. Customization, configuration, and support of application capabilities to business needs. Assist the IT Support Team with ensuring reliable and proper operation of applications assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in information technology and a minimum of two (2) years’ responsible experience in hardware and software application support and network infrastructure support; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority. Microsoft and project management certifications desired.

  • Competitive salary with other public and industry positions, including step advancements.
  • The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match. Additionally, employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.

  • 11 paid holidays and 2 personal leave days each calendar year. 
  • New employees are granted 40 hours of vacation at time of hire and accrue an additional 2 weeks in their first year.
