Position:

Are you passionate about recreation, fitness, helping others and giving back to your community? If so, the City Sharonville is looking for you! The City is actively recruiting for a part-time Facility Attendant/Fitness Instructor to support fitness facility programming at the Sharonville Community Center. Under the direction of the Assistant Recreation Director, the part-time Fitness Instructor will oversee fitness center operations and instruct and coach members on use of equipment and overall fitness goals. Primary responsibilities include monitoring member use of fitness equipment and providing members with personal training. Candidates must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Current shifts may vary with a limit of 18 hours worked per week. Qualified candidates should have excellent technical, customer service and communication skills. It is strongly preferred that candidates possess a personal training or fitness related certification(s) and/or earned a degree in Health and Wellness or a related field. CPR and AED certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire date.

About the Sharonville Community Center:

The City of Sharonville prides itself on being a vibrant, close-knit community that strongly supports its residents, businesses and visitors. Sharonville has approximately 13,500 residents and, due in large part to its large diverse workforce, a daytime population that exceeds 40,000 - all of which the Sharonville Community Center serve. The center is a membership-based facility, located at 10990 Thornview Drive in historic Sharonville. The facilities are open to residents, business employees and non-residents. The center offers a variety of amenities; including, an aquatic center, indoor track, fitness center, double gymnasium, family game area, fitness aerobic classes, arts and crafts, youth athletic and camp programming and much more.

Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package includes an hourly range of $14.00 - $15.00 commensurate with certification and experience. The City offers a highly-competitive part-time benefits package that includes; participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System; paid holiday, vacation, and sick leave after one (1) year of permanent employment; injury on duty pay; access to an Employee Assistance Program; individual membership to the Sharonville Community Center and more.
