SALARY: $18.00 per hour 40 hours per week during the summer with evening hours May 28th 2024 – August 30th 2024
LOCATION: City of Saratoga Springs – Department of Public Safety
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following qualification(s) must be met and clearly detailed on the City of Saratoga Springs employment application form by the last filing date:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age AND
- Possess and maintain a current and valid NYS driver’s license throughout the duration of employment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work out of doors, occasionally under adverse weather conditions;
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 70 pound short lifts and 50 pounds repetitively;
- Ability to work in a highway construction environment where most of the work takes place in and around motor vehicle traffic.
DUTIES:
- Assist Traffic Department in the installation AND maintenance of traffic pavement markings and other related traffic control devices on all city streets and parking lots
