Ensures security and safety for spectators of an assigned area in the Civic Center facility during scheduled events; does related work as required. Accepts and/or inspects tickets from patrons at assigned gate or entranceway in the Civic Center facility during scheduled events; escorts patrons to proper seating area; does related work as required. Work is performed under the regular supervision of an Events Manager and/or Events Service Supervisor.
Requires the exertion of 30 pounds of force occasionally, up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires standing for long intervals, walking, lifting, finger grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion: vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging direction by means of the spoken word, and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, visual inspection involving small print; operation of ticket scanning equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and occasionally outside environmental conditions, noise and hazards.
Provides general security for an assigned area of the Civic Center during scheduled events;
properly inspects each admission ticket for correct date/time and event; may be assigned a seating area or vomitorium; inspects admission tickets and determines correct seating location for each ticket.
