Job Summary

Facility Supervisors are responsible for the overall management of Splash Pad at Maryvale Park. This includes (but may not be limited) to daily opening/closing of the facility, monitoring and maintaining facility safety, customer service, water quality and chemical management, equipment troubleshooting, and facility cleanliness.
The position is responsible for maintaining a safe recreational environment in accordance with pertinent Montgomery County Health Department regulations and City of Rockville directives. Supervises facility in a professional manner; responsible for cleaning the facility; interacts with patrons in a professional manner and responds to emergencies including calling EMS / Police and providing First Aid as needed. Regularly is called upon to test water quality and make adjustments using swimming pool chemicals as needed. Occasionally makes light repairs to equipment and facilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must possess a Montgomery County Pool Operators License (or ability to obtain within 30 days) and current certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED. Lifeguard Training and prior experience as a Lifeguard and/or Pool Operator is preferred.
Candidates must be 18 years of age by start date and have the ability to work varied shifts throughout the Splash Pad’s operating season (Memorial Day Weekend Through Labor Day, 11am-7pm daily)
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 season (or more) of related experience preferred.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma and/or above. Some college preferred.
